Qualifications available from the Academy:
Certificate IV in Business (BSB40207) - perfect for people in business administration, receptionists, project managers, administration assistants, and sole practitioners who wish to upskill their business knowledge: 10 units of competency included in this qualification. Diploma of Business (BSB50207) - this qualification is for individuals with sustantial experience in a range of business settings who are seeking to further develop their skills across a wide range of business functions - no vocational experience is required but a sound theoretical business skill and knowledge is preferable. There are 8 units of competency included in this qualification. Certificate IV in Bookkeeping (FNS40219) aimed at students who wish to improve their bookkeeping skills, establish and maintain accounting systems, assistance with BAS (Business Activity Statements) and general accounting skills and knowledge: 13 units of competency included in this qualification. Diploma of Accounting (FNS50210) - this qualification provides a start to a career in Accounting and can act as a pathwqay to further study options. Topics covered include budgeting and forecasting, preparation of financial reports, internal control, preparation of income returns and legislative compliance. This qualification supports the roles of employees working in accounting who perform duties such as preparing accounting reports for management, preparing financial statements, preparing tax returns, maintaining accounting systems. The Academy offers some of the common core competencies from the HLT07 Health Training Package. These competencies complement specialist training in qualifications such as Certificate IV in Kinesiology, Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Training. These modalities cater to the needs of complementary/alternative professionals as well as those in general health. The successful completion of these modules will result in a Statement of Attainment. None of the short course programs listed above have specific entry requirements. These modules are delivered by distance/self paced training and assessment. You can request Recognition of Prior Learning, Recognition of Current Competencies and/or Credit Transfer. If you are currently working, you can include current work based evidence.
